Liebster

I love learning vocabulary
This time it came as an award
Liebster Award.. 'Liebster' is  a German word, meaning - beloved, dearest, favourite ..

Thanks to Diksha Sharma, a charming young girl and a fine blogger who found me as one of her Liebsters!

As time goes by, our perception towards the same thing , changes..
I had been gifted my first and (till Liebster) the only award, by two of my friends, one after the other.. the same day.. That was many months back.. The Versatile Blogger Award. And  that award was sheer thrill and delight, for me.
Now when Diksha so lovingly bestowed the Liebster one on me, I feel that I have changed a lot.. I felt no thrill.. But I felt loved!

Even though, I believe that I write for myself, the true fact remains that I would love to be read as well.. or else I would have just written to "My Dear Diary".. and hid it underneath old junk..
And therefore discarding the rules of  the Liebster Award would be unpardonable insensitivity..

Thank You Diksha , once again.. She is Audere Agere Auferre - To dare, To Strive, To Conquer.. many a hearts.. Best Wishes to you dear!

These are the rules that come with the acceptance of this award:
  • You must pass on the award to five other bloggers; however, they must have less than 200 followers
  • You must then let every nominee know that they have been given the award
  • You must display the award on your blog

Here are my Liebsters
- Nasnin's  Scribblings, she is classy, brilliant and a literary giant.. I believe she has a long way to go.. an exceptional talent
- Lady Fiona who traces out The Princess Passions: She loves poetry, and I learn a lot from her, not just the creativity sparks and beauty, and clean writing..  she is a wonderful human being..
- Amit's  Scribble Pad, his short crispy poems are like a punch on your softer emotions.. love his precise and different style
- Vagabond's in between: she is a class of her own.. I had never seen this style of writing.. She is my liebster, no doubt
- My Corner, where the Woman in love, pens her lovely thoughts.. with clarity and depth

In stopping at five, I am just abiding my the rules.. for a change ;)

And the Versatile Bloggers are...

Blogging has led me to a world where I get to see people coming out of their words. Communication, I feel is of optimum clarity, in black and white. Inhibitions which may otherwise make one gulp words/expressions is absent here. One can be true to oneself. I had started blogging just so that I wanted to write away my mental mazes and travails and cleansing my soul off the masks worn. Nudity of the soul or catharsis, as my dear friend Nasnin would scribble it. Many times, I have felt that she writes beautifully my thoughts, though I could never have written so brilliantly like her. She is in love with words and I enrich my vocabulary by reading her. I refer to the meaning of words which I do not know – like niggarding.
And when such a brilliant persons bestows a token of acceptance and appreciation in the form of a Versatile Blogger Award, I stand honoured, and belittled at the mass of writings by bloggers across the globe.
And then my dear KP, her appreciation was even more joyful to me because I hadn’t been very generous in my appreciation towards her scribbling pad initially. She is so versatile and has really mastered the art of fiction now. I like her thoughts and creativity, restless determination … Thank you dear KP.
Now is my turn to pass the appreciation to my favourite bloggers. Nasnin and KP are undoubtedly my favourites.. so let me announce the rest.. knowing very well that I am no one before these brilliant writers..
Suma’s Neeharam for her most original expressions .. she writes mostly in Malayalam, there is magic in her words .. I love her sivaganga and mayilnrutham among others. Its awesome.. I await her posts and hope she will awe the readers with more and more.
Smee’s Time a Myth.. smee is gentle with words, great choice of words and plays around abstracts which are threaded with love, pain, nostalgia and a pinch of philosophy.  Her writings give a visual impact and aroma as well. Her Let me be is a classic and I was a princess once is another of my favourites.
Before I pass the ribbon .. let me tell you seven facts about me
1.   A rebel, I cannot go by fixed standards or norms unless it appeases my logic.
2.  Am numb emotionally and detached. I neither feel intoxicated with joy nor desperate with sadness.. this has a spiritual underline and is often mistaken for carelessness or not bothered attitude.
3.  I speak my heart out when I write, infact I started the blog so that I can unwind to the core. I do equally love to read blogs and comment truly from my heart.
4.     I have a fantasy which keeps me going.. will blog on it later.
5.   A strange peace dawns on me all of a sudden and I feel I am in love with this world.
6.    I write ex tempore, don’t care to edit.. its like a need, I just release it and relax
7.    I am very bad at speaking about myself or anything when I am asked to.. see how badly I wrote this.. For me the call has to come.. otherwise I am a disaster
Will be back when thoughts beckon.. Love, Pygma

Mind Your Mind!

I am not a reviewer, nor is this a review. But when a blogger friend ignites a thought, even a lazy blogger like me is restless till I post my reflections.
Today I read one of Anand’s musings. It was greatly thought provoking that I just couldn’t easily type out a complete comment and click on ‘post’. It was nothing new, some thought which all of us do have. But such is the power of words that it makes you ponder deep within.
Anand says
One should pursue one’s dreams, no matter what - True
Not to compromise one’s true self for the sake of others – True again
But I wonder how dreams are born – out of passion, of course. But very few are able to really dream and hold on to dreams. Free choice is implied in the power to dream. You need a naked mind for all of these. A mind stripped off the robes of ‘parental value’ based upbringing; the moral science lessons at school showing us the way to be “good  girls/boys”; the religious dopes over which one never really get a choice; all of these harnessing you from the vices aside and aligning you in a default mode.
It is a condition precedent for free choice that you install ‘heal-thy’ learning and un-learning is the only software which supports the program. Let originality bloom! But to what extend one should un-learn is a dilemma, or more correctly – to what extend we should let ourselves indoctrinate is the clever line of rationality. Values are indeed to be built in – like, ‘do no harm to others’, ‘be honest’, ‘have compassion for humanity’ and such bare minimum.
The second segment which Anand made me think again is about not compromising one’s true self for others’ sake. This is a skill, one should learn to articulate. A strict adherence to this dictum may make a man a little less than a social animal. Not compromising one’s true self is not to be stretched to the level of intolerance. A balance between tolerance and self –ism is the key to a world of harmonious co existence with people not of your choice, along with magically pursing your dreams and aspirations.
Mind ! Mind is the ‘open sesame’ to happiness and self realization. Make your mind soar in the high skies and seas.. explore, experiment, desire, live, laugh and accomplish… and Mind you! Mind your Mind!
