Reading

For me reading is a bed, pillows and a book. I used to keep a bowl full of munch those days and it still shows (sobs)
I also love to read while travelling. Its not that I don't know that reading in a moving vehicle is bad for eyes, but  the joy it brings me is worth the cost.
Last year I had been on a long journey passing through the roads of Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab and Himachal. I saw the changing fields and crops, the design of the buildings, the landscape and the people, their outfits .. all of this in between.
The rest of the time I was in Afghanistan amidst landmines and explosions and Taliban.. I was with Laila in Khaled Hosseini's 'A Thousand Spendid Suns' .. in my mind it was a collage of this journey, the views I saw in and out of the book, the story, the characters .. a collage of cultural blend.
Now I am reading Paulo Coelho's Adultery. It is about the honest revelation of a woman in her 30s , I have just started reading.. i do not know how it will turn out to be.. I doubt if it will be convincing enough..

Sharing a line from the book : ""The horizon seems farther away, beyond the clouds and the walls of our house."
